About Me

Hi there! My name is Trent Cefolia, and I really like fun. It may be the single thing I take most seriously.

For as long as I can remember, I have had a real love for making people smile. Growing up, I used to write and film comedy sketches that I would edit on my iPad Mini and show to my parents to make them laugh. I asked my elementary school teachers if I could just make funny videos for all of my school projects, and they very often said yes. As I grew up, my love for making others happy only got stronger. I was the president of my high school’s Sketch and Improv Comedy Club, and I also found a new way of having fun; games!

I’ve always considered myself a gamer, but it was when I found how well games intersected with comedy that I really developed a serious interest in them. Coming out of the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2021, when I was a Junior in high school, I helped my U.S. History teacher balance the Zoom class with the in-person class by taking every Wednesday class to host a game of what I called “Trentpardy”, a game that I created that combined our U.S. History curriculum with silly facts about myself. Every week for about a year, I took every Tuesday to write roughly 30 trivia questions, solely so that I could have more fun with my fellow students on Wednesdays.

Since then, I’ve taken my college experience to further explore the intersection of games and comedy, and how the simple act of interaction can make a situation funnier than anyone could expect. I hope that looking at my portfolio can reveal my emphasis on, as well as my passion for comedy and lightheartedness. I’m expecting to graduate from DePaul University with a B.S. in Game Design in June 2026, and I’m expecting my love for making silly games to become even stronger.
